They announced today the service, called Pingie but it only supports US carriers.

The space does however already have quite a few players some of which, FeedBeep have already closed their doors.

Hoosgot (pronounced “who’s got…”) is a simple way to ask who’s got what you’re looking for. Just put “hoosgot” in a blog post or a Twitter tweet and it’ll show up on Hoosgot.

It looks like a great idea, but as Dave acknowledges it could be killed by spam.
